Club History

The Erie Maennerchor Club has been an integral part of the fabric of the Erie community since its founding in 1871.

Originally formed as a German singing society, today our Club is a mixture of social activity. Although many of the aspects of our Club have changed with the times, many similarities exist between the founders of the Club and the membership today.

The Erie Maennerchor remains a Club which is deep in tradition. While looking over the membership lists one can begin to put together a who’s who in our community.

People who have given their time and talents to the betterment of our community have spent many days singing, bowling, playing cards or just socializing within the confines of this organization. Each board has taken on the personality of those members who have served on it and the pride taken by those people who have continued to make the Erie Maennerchor Club one of the most unique social organizations in our community.
